## Milanesas — Argentina's Favourite Comfort Food

A milanesa is a thin cut of beef (or chicken) that's been crumbed and fried to golden perfection. Think schnitzel, but better — because it's Argentine.

In Argentina, milanesas are eaten everywhere — at home, at restaurants, in sandwiches (the famous milanesa napolitana with tomato sauce and melted cheese is a national obsession). They're crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and incredibly versatile.

At Achura, our milanesas are made with premium quality beef, crumbed fresh in store. All you need to do is cook them.

**How to cook them:** shallow fry in a neutral oil over medium-high heat, 2-3 minutes each side until golden. Season with salt and a squeeze of lemon. Serve with mashed potato, a simple salad, or stack them in a sandwich.

## Empanadas — The Ultimate Argentine Snack

If you haven't had an Argentine empanada, you're missing out. These hand-held pastry pockets filled with seasoned beef, onion, egg and olives are the ultimate snack, starter or party food.

**How to cook them:** bake in the oven at 200°C for 20-25 minutes until golden, or fry them for a crispier result. Either way, they disappear fast.
